On Wednesday 25th February 2009, thirteen members attended the ,Take i Take ii, Media Awareness Training event held in the Slemish Room, Stranmillis College.
This session acted as a guided tour through media contact with the emphasis on ‘one on one’ and ‘down the line’ interview techniques. Lead by Mike Nesbitt, attendees were exposed to some of the tricks of the interviewers’ trade, and given pointers on how to take control of interviews so that their positive message could be communicated.

In this ‘age of the sound bite’ everyone will benefited from Mike’s insights into the construction of television reports and how to use this to your advantage.
Relying heavily on case studies using willing volunteers (kicking and screaming being signs of willingness!) the holy grail of any event was achieved in that it was at once informative, thought provoking and entertaining.
