One Day Study Tour to Liverpool One

Friday 15th May, 2009 saw 18 hardy members making the 7 a.m. flight from Belfast to Liverpool One for a one day study tour.

The use of public transport to make the journey from airport to Shopping Area was clearly a rare novelty for many of the party requiring a sit-down and excellent breakfast from Café Rouge.

Fully recovered, Chris Bliss (Liverpool One Estate Manager) introduced Cindy Downing (Retail Liaison Manager) who gave an extremely interesting and informative presentation on Liverpool One, past, present and future. After questions and answers Cindy lead a walking tour of the site.

Free time was then used variously to shop, visit churches and cathedrals and explore the delights of the Cavern, and Albert Docks area.

Having caught the 6 p.m. return flight 10 of us enjoyed an excellent meal at Bamboo in Templepatrick for which many thanks to John Chan.

The tour was an undoubted success ticking all the right boxes for education, information sharing, networking and socializing.
